Good Morning All! Well what do you think of the new villain, the new villain? The guy in the background in panel two, isn’t that old. I think the colorist should have made him a blonde.
I’m curious to see if his repeating habit will be reflected in his name. Also, his hairdo perfectly fits the retro time frame our new DT is written in.
@jumbobrain – Agree 100%. Here we have at least 2 DT traditions. We are introduced to a new character and his particular quirks while he is seen plotting something. Also, taking an element of real life and renaming it. (Green Hornet = Scarlet Sting) I remember once seeing Dick and Sam reading a magazine called “Glance” when Look Magazine was in circulation.
The strip ripped apart the really bad Warren Beatty “Dick Tracy” movie. I am sure they can say plenty about “The Green Hornet,” I mean “The Scarlet Sting.” It made the Warren Beatty movie look good. Maybe it should be “The Scarlet Stink.”
This new villain is arrogant (“my backyard”), well-dressed, and apparently very rich (is that his butler in the background?). Whoever he is, he likes to live in style.
I agree “double” should be in his name. Double Down, Double Up, Double Talker, something like that. Whatever it is, I have a hunch he’s going to be a great villain!
Oh the heck with it, we’ve already told the Yahoo group his name. It’s DOUBLEUP. But there’s several other important players in this story who have yet to walk on. Tomorrow- a blast from the past!
It would be nice if, when you share the link to this strip on Facebook, the image of the strip itself is passed through. Memo to Go Comics: Nobody is compelled to click through based solely on text.

He looks to me like a fairly typical Congressman.

O.K., wish the story arcs lasted longer but this is an AWESOME lead-in to whatever’s next.

I’m betting the unique hair style and speaking habit will be the key to this ne’re-do-well’s sobriquet.

The new character has an interesting hairdo (panel 2). Compare to this:

Looks a bit like Daredevil’s old foe, The Owl.

@JonahHex: “Sobriquet” – Well done! I haven’t seen that word used in a while.

Well, I like GOODFELLAS but actually think our new foe is more like TWICEY ROUNDABLOCK from DERBY DUGAN’S DEPRESSION FUNNIES.

Smiling Jack had a few characters with strange quirks … always loved that strip when I was a kid.

Not sure who will play the Scarlet Sting in the movie but Marlon Brando needs to play the congressman. The Congressman.

Mike, since this guy wants to be paid for having a movie shot on his turf, can I suggest the moniker DoubleTake???

If I was going to guess the villains name, I would go with Peter Uhfendur but everyone calls him Repeat, calls him Repeat.
