My little doxie is five and mellowed a bit. I get a languid glance in the morning that lasts until I finish my breakfast. Then a look of “Are you going to eat all the bacon?”
Especially these days, with so many of us working from home. ain the early days of the lockdown, there was a true story circulating about a dog who was very happy to have all his humans home all day. The poor thing wagged his tail so hard it just stopped working. His people took him to the vet, who said the dog had literally sprained his tail. Now that was a truly happy dog.

6 months and going with the COVID-19 shelter in place mandate. Every morning, it is a ritual to check my calendar. I need to keep my sense of time.
