what an odd lady the grandmother is

Once again, a little over 10 years ago Richard posted a blog entry regarding this strip:

Why go through the bother of deviling the eggs? Just let them sit out until they get good and ripe.

Grandma is a Southpaw. She should try out for the Nats.

Between Grandma and Alice it seems that certain traits have skipped a generation.

That’s rather hard-boiled of her.

Electrify a bag of golf clubs and set them by the gate. Now that is what I call Crazy Golf

Well, duh! Nothing says “national local treasure” like deviled eggs.

Grandma is awesome! As a left-handed pitcher, she has a possible professional career path ahead of her (as long as they use deviled eggs rather than, say, baseballs). And though Madeline may have been speaking facetiously, in fact Granny’s yard is a treasure!

As Alice takes a moment to reflect, she has a glimpse of what could be her future.

Ya know you read cul de sac and think, ‘Well Alice will grow out of her weird behaver.’ And then you meet her grandma and realize…. ’She’s not going to grow out of it…."

Grandma’s a southpaw. Good to know.

Thankfully Alice hasn’t inherited Grandma’s nose!

Again with the deviled eggs…what is wrong with raw eggs?

I like deviled eggs. Throw some my way.

What a waste of good deviled eggs- Well…unless her deviled eggs weren’t very good -then it’s a perfect use for them!

I wish I lived near Grandma. I would drive by every morning to pick up my breakfast.

you would think she would have a ’ National Local Treasure" plaque on her house or a sign saying that in her yard then she wouldn’t have to waste any of her deviled eggs.
