I wonder what habits Grandma has that she thinks are perfectly OK? Linus’ mom smokes, doesn’t she? Why not ride her about that and let Linus alone.

I bet at home when everyone was away Grandma would break out the booze and cigs and tie one on.

I saw this one in a comic book a while ago and thought… “How come Gramma can’t tell the differents?”

Did you know that Mr. Schulz invented the term "Security Blanket:?

This was recently used in the direct to DVD movie “Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown”.

Think about it. Gramma is really thinking about what’s best for Linus. For example, when you try to break a kid out of sucking his thumb. They know that other kids will tease kids that do baby things like sucking their thumb. Linus has gotten a lot of flack over carrying around his baby blanket. He needs to find something else to be a security crutch, at least something not so babyish. It’s for his own good.

orinoco womble: In fact, the grandma smokes. Once Linus made a deal with her; he would give up the blanket if she would stop smoking… and she took him up on it.

Jdude96: She only comes once in a blue moon. How would she know? Especially if Linus played his hand well.
