    Invest in hair spray. I heard Trump agreed to drive the Indy Pace Car before he found out it is a convertible.

    Trump has decided not to drive the pace car after all.

    Story was in today’s local paper.

    “I would prefer to see the IRS do a full audit on the Donald.”

    So you’re okay with a President using the IRS as a tool to harass his political opponents?

    INDYCAR has been going downhill, but when they first went to the sewer to let ‘the donald” into the 100th year of the race (it was not held during WW II, so it isn’t the 100th race) it was really bad. (A friend of my father was Chief Steward for a number of years, and even though he was very “conservative”, in the old sense, he’d have strangled them for even asking him.)

    ^^Howie, I spent 14+ years in road racing, sports cars and go karts (140 mph karts, not Briggs and Stratton), roundy round is kinda boring, and getting more so. One lap at Sears Point (now Infinion Raceway) has more “racing” than 500 miles at Taladega, or Indianapolis.

    Senor b, it was the mere fact they ASKED him in the first place that really ticked people off. Autoweek has more comments on the issue, and has been running a series covering the history of Indy.

    Rockngolfer, I was watching the elections Monday and I thought about explaining you guys a funny french-canadian idiom;

    “Manger une volée” ou “En manger toute une” Translation; To get one’s @ass thoroughtly kicked. To get a serious, big time whuppin’.

    Like the Bloc last elections…

    Or like Sooky when he tried to take a can of tuna from Rockngolfer’s cat.

    Sooky Rottweiler says; Hey, nothing to laugh about! I got clawed, but I didn’t want to go to the vet! My human made me. ouch…

    ^My son is racing motorcycle sidecars up at Willow Springs, and they do Miller Park in SLC, and Las Vegas- it’s “cheaper”. Ah yes, Agoura, Azusa, Gardena, lots of little dirt tracks too we used to run karts at, then there was Riverside- it used to indeed be a lot cheaper. (SCCA C-production)

    I’d also agree they probably asked the donald before he went completely bananarama.

    ^ There is a dirt track called East Bay Raceway where regular guys can run sprint cars and such without spending millions of $.

    Frenchette, there is an interesting show on Animal Planet that has a guy who helps people with cats that are aggressive or have other problems. I’ll have to see if it is on next Saturday.

    And lastly, here is a new poll*
