All houses have a smell. THAT doesn’t say whether it’s good or bad.

Until it is time to move, a suppressed property value is a good thing as it keeps the taxes down.

Gary and Gerry are working really hard to make us dislike Betty!

Yeah, Nachi …… gotta agree with you. They have been for some months now.

I always hate the smell of rotting mice in the wall after they die.

You don’t have to do a major, knocking down walls-type of reno. New paint, new furniture, restyling placement of furniture. Repaint kitchen cabinets and change drawer and cabinet hardware. It does a long way and you don’t need tens of thousands of dollars to “refresh” your home’s look.

She’s beating around the bush, trying to get a renovation going, me thinks. :P

The “unrenoed” home owners are not deep in debt either.

this is an expensive kind of peer pressure

My parent’s neighbors did a “remodel” where they literally tore down to leaving only 1 wall. The longer you wait – the deeper that remodel gets.

Maybe Gary and Gerry have been on vacation since Covid started and somebody else is writing the strip?!

I feel sorry for Bub. Living with Betty would be pure Hell.
