Adam bit the apple and, feeling great shame, covered himself with a fig leaf. Eve, too, felt shame and covered herself with a fig leaf. Then she went behind a bush to try on a maple leaf, a sycamore, and an oak.
Speaking of credit cards, who can remember the last card they had with raised letters and numbers to use to make an imprint? And which of you kids don’t know what I’m talking about?
My wife gets the tactile by ordering tons of stuff on line, and sending 2/3 of it back after it arrives and she sees/feels it for real. I’m surprised companies will ship to her with the hassle needing to restock so much of what they send.
I know this “thing” about women and shopping but please remember, there are women who HATE shopping. About the only place I could get lost in and enjoy just window shopping is a hardware store.
Way off topic, but: an evil guy once convinced the director of a halfway house that, given certain front money, he could get Eddie Van Halen to visit. He split with the money. Mr. Van Halen heard about this, and showed up on his own; hung out, signed some posters and photos, handed out some CDs; this all without press, just ‘cause it was the right thing to do. Now _that’s_ class.

Shopping for clothes, I’m in and out in ten minutes or less. I kind of like shopping for appliances, though, for whatever reason.
