Love it how Donna resorts to a quaint old euphemism! Life just isn’t fair, Donna. The sooner you (and everyone else) learns that, the less perturbed you will be.
But it does seem to be so true too often to be comfortable. My mom’s sister never drank a day in her life, never smoked, never took drugs. Only had one man in her life and was married to him for 30 years until she died Yet she died of cirrhosis of the liver. One of dad’s sisters smoked, drank, partied and was a wild child and she lived to be 80 so far. Still going, still smokes, still drinks wine every day. “Tip the box!”
Who can figure? Makes me wonder about all this advice we get on moderate drinking, eating healthy, etc. It seems genetics plays a bigger role than all that crud.
The last time they found something weird on my Pap smear, it turned out they messed up the slide and had to re-do it because there weren’t enough cells to look at. May it be so for her.

Eh. I’d rather live a short life doing the things I enjoy than a long life achieved by not having any fun. Any one of us could get hit by a truck tomorrow, so Eat, Drink, and be Merry.
