@Linguist Today’s strip IS funny but a variation of a theme , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp must have been well behaved to have been sent off near the end of the game :o) my avatar which I have used before is a picture of a pie chart of how Legos act , when my boys were kids they left their blocks lying about causing me to step on them on my way to the bathroom , now it’s their turn with their kids, come avete passato la vostra Domenica mio meno vecchio amicho , our day should be busy but calm I hope , no Sunday drive and no anxiety about our three legged cat , the vets we took her to are heroes they are not in it for the money but genuine love for God’s creatures , keep safe and thanks for caring pal.

Before I read the classics, I was going to say “how come Andy didn’t go to the pub after being sent of”

If Andy weren’t a comic his booze would have him near 30 stone and long buried by now.

Soccer (“football”) is hard work. Seems like Andy could transfer that ethic to a paying job. … Well… never mind.

And I’m somehow pretty sure it was a “warm” sendoff! :D

I once had to eject a player in the very first minute of play for striking an opponent.

Oh, I should mention, this was a Women’s League and there was bad blood between the two players over a guy.

My record time for ejections of men was 2 Red Cards within the first 5 minutes of the match – one for players on each side but for different offenses.

It was a championship playoff match and both teams had to play the rest of the match a man down. Funny, I don’t recall having to issue even a Yellow Card to either team for the rest of the game.
