I don’t know what’s wrong with Rover this morning — usually dogs are totally non-judgmental!

Capt’ Kangaroo, Lee Marvin said Capt’ was the bravest man he ever met. They were together on Iwo Jima. Check out Mister Rogers too, One bad dude.

Even when I was little, I never liked the shows geared towards my age. I thought Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street and Capt Kangaroo were boring. Of course, now I like Sesame Street. :-)

We had these green 78rpm story records about various adventures of Little Orley. According to our mom, the guy who did the records later became Mr Green Jeans on Capt Kangaroo.

Cripes, I watched Mr. Rogers Neighborhood with my sons. I especially liked when he would take you places that showed you how things were made. I miss Mr. Rogers!

I didn’t have TV as a kid, “dontcha know there’s a war on?” At least my kids had the advantage of Bob Keeshan, Fred Rodgers, and Sesame Street. Thanks to them all.
