Is this a rerun strip like Peanuts? Today, I suspect that a Mickey Mantle card would be worth serious bucks and not something to stick into your spokes.
I would never use a star’s baseball card in my bicycle spokes back when I was a kid. Scrubs only, and you easily got a dozen Jim Kremmell or Carmen Fanzone cards for every Ron Santo.

My mother eventually found why cards were missing out of the family deck of playing cards! She was not as amused as I was.

I did this but I used any type of cardboard I could fine. Not my baseball cards.
