In the MANY years (around 1988) that I have owned Macs (iFruit to Jason), I have never had to resort to AARGHHH! The same cannot be said for Windows-based PCs and laptops at work. AACK is heard often and progressively louder depending on the project that crashed and burned.
Aaron, that’s why I use Linux: it’s much more stable than Windows. My desktop hasn’t been rebooted in 16 days and that was for an update that couldn’t take effect unless I rebooted. (The Linux kernel, if you’re interested.) Whmlll, I’m sure your computer store loves your attitude about buying new computers all the time, but it’s rarely needed today because the hardware’s generally more reliable than the software; at least, it is if you’re running Windows.
I’ve only had 2 PC’s in the last 16 years. I also work for a large multi-national bank where the PC’s are on 24X7 for years at a time. Without a doubt almost all of the problems encountered in almost every case are operator incurred. ’Nuff said.

I wish Fido was as sympathetic as Fred.

BACK UP, BACK UP, BACK UP! Everything twice, to a thumb drive and to an external hard drive. If you can’t afford to lose it, you hafta back it up!
