Some years ago I was volunteering for the local SPCA at Petsmart, working in the cat adoption room to clean out the cages and let each cat out for a few minutes of play and exercise. One of them found a cricket that had escaped the store’s live food tank and had a great time catching it.
I don’t think the store employees took my suggestion to release more crickets into that room on purpose.
My cats have two “fancy fountains” – one indoors and a horse-feeding pan with a solar-powered water pump outside. They are not allowed jackets nor cigars.
