Haven’t had my hair dyed or cut since January, just clip it back so it doesn’t get in my eyes. Enjoying seeing what I look like gray, at least a few inches, for the first time in my life at 70. Considering what other people are going through, I can put the hair thing in perspective and shrug.
I went to Super Cuts to get my hair cut, and I got Flowbeed! I had washed my hair so it was clean and I told her I wanted it short. She took out this vacuum cleaner hose (I swear that’s what it looked like) and went ‘Whoosh! Whoosh! Whooooooosh!’ over my head. My short hair cut was maybe 1" if I was lucky and I looked like a dyke. Apologies to easily offended lesbians, but when I looked in the mirror I looked like a butch or a dyke. Dyke is what I recall as ‘sticking’ until my hair grew out. Anyway, I haven’t let any stylist bring any vacuum attachment- looking device near my head. I’m paying for scissors so cut.
I must have watched a different video. Have trimmed my long hair at least 4 times now since March, even trimmed my layers, and it looks just fine, if I do say so myself. Only thing I can’t manage is to get a nice angled cut in the front, but that’s OK. No hurry to visit any hair salon.
I’ve been back to my stylist 2 times now. I was so glad to go the first time, as I have long colored hair and it was in need of a touch up. I’m now considering going to a grey color (It’s not a natural grey/white yet) so that I can go longer in between visits. Love my stylist, just trying to save some money…
I had long vowed NEVER to do a combover if my head got “follicly challenged” so, when I started suffering from “advancing scalp” I sent to a regular buzz cut.

Hey there’s this great thing called a Flowbee! Try that (you go first).

After a few disastrous attempts to cut my own bangs, I’ve learned my lesson: leave it to the pro.

Gad, Cathy looks awful! I wonder if she contracted the virus.

Since, 2009. I had to cut my own hair and trust me! That’s not fit for anyone to see.

Ha—pretty perfect image of Cathy, after the self-done haircut.
Made me laugh.
