tRump is feeling so good that he wants to resume having campaign rallies. And now he says that he is immune to COVID-19 and that he doesn’t fear COVID-19.
Vote for somebody, not agaisnt. We are guaranteed the right to vote, not the right to a winner. Accepting disappointment and compromise are necessary for a Republic.
Normally, a political party wins elections by offering policies that benefit the voters. These policies attract the voters who then cast their votes for the political party.
But for the Republican Party, this is not an option.
A candidate could not possibly campaign on the policies favored by the 1%. Just imagine the stump speech. “Vote for me and I will slash your health care!
In fact, I’ll do even better — I’ll fight like mad to completely eliminate your health care!” “Vote for me and I will get rid of your pensions!
This would save corporations a bundle and boost profits to the shareholders! Screw the workers!” “Vote for me and I promise to ship your jobs overseas under globalization! The exact same labor can be hired in Asia for only pennies! Hurray!”
This, of course, is not going to work.
The Republican Party is left with only one option. It cannot possibly be honest about its true intentions and actual policies.
The working class would never vote for them. Instead, the only option is to lie.
The Republican Party must lie. It has no choice. It must conceal its true inner core. This is a matter of life or death for the party.
The survival of the Republican Party itself depends upon lying. It cannot exist without creating a false impression about its true purpose.

The issues pushed by the GOP are the familiar hot-button issues of the culture wars that divide our society. Religion. Gun rights. Abortion. LGBT issues. Law and order.
The wealthy do not care one whit about any of these issues. They would be perfectly fine with resolutions either way.
The significance of these issues is that they pose no threat to the economic dominance of the wealthy, so they are safe for public discussion.
Thus, these are the issues Republicans deploy to attempt to trick the working class into voting for the GOP.
The fact is that one of two people WILL be the next President. Guaranteed. Voting 3rd Party accomplishes absolutely nothing. It doesn’t send a message. All it does is make you feel pure, when you’re no purer than anyone else.
Nobody is perfect. Choose which of the two you think will make the best President. Because if it isn’t that guy, it WILL be the other guy.
Attorney General Bill Barr has begun telling top Republicans that the Justice Department’s sweeping review into the origins of the Russia investigation will not be released before the election, a senior White House official and a congressional aide briefed on the conversations tell Axios.
.
Why it matters:
Republicans had long hoped the report, led by U.S. Attorney John Durham, would be a bombshell containing revelations about what they allege were serious abuses by the Obama administration and intelligence community probing for connections between President Trump and Russia.
“This is the nightmare scenario. Essentially, the year and a half of arguably the number one issue for the Republican base is virtually meaningless if this doesn’t happen before the election," a GOP congressional aide told Axios.
Barr has made clear that they should not expect any further indictments or a comprehensive report before Nov. 3, our sources say.
The Justice Department declined to comment. The White House did not respond to a request for comment.
.
What we’re hearing:
Barr is communicating that Durham is taking his investigation extremely seriously and is focused on winning prosecutions.
According to one of the sources briefed on the conversations Barr said Durham is working in a deliberate and calculated fashion, and they need to be patient.
The general sense of the talks, the source says, is that Durham is not preoccupied with completing his probe by a certain deadline for political purposes.
.
Behind the scenes:
Trump has grown increasingly frustrated with Barr and the Justice Department for not moving more quickly on the investigation.
One administration official said Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo’s recent interview with Rep. Devin Nunes on Sunday caught Trump’s eye, further fueling his exasperation with the lack of indictments from Durham.
I will always vote against a lying sexual predator child caging corporate welfare dealing white supremacist foreign debt owing virus spewing election fixing treasonous conman.
The only thing that seems clear is that Carmen will not be voting for Trump. She did not vote for Trump against Hunny Bunny – er, I mean Hillary Clinton – in 2016, and she has greater reasons for not voting for him in 2020.
Are we heading for the reveal that Carmen will vote for Biden? She’s already admitted she was CONSIDERING it, although she backed off it pretty quickly.
Getting rid of Trump is Job One. Voting for Joe Biden is the best method of achieving that end.
There are many alternatives to voting for either Biden or Trump, but there are no alternative outcomes.
Indeed – this election could become the exemplar through history of the effect of a two party model. Where the vote can represent what people DON’T want instead of what they do. Why is this the exemplar – because it applies to both sides.
I am going to go way, way, way out on a limb here.
Perhaps Scott is preparing us for Carmen-votes-for-Joe “reveal.”
And perhaps the reason he is pussy-footing around with it is because he’s not targeting us. He already knows that, whether we are happy with Joe or not (and many of us are not), nevertheless, he knows that we are voting for Joe.
Scott may actually be taking aim at Republicans who are no longer satisfied with Trump – but remain “afraid” of crossing the aisle for Joe.
Today’s strip may well be a confession that, as Carmen points out above, voting for that third party candidate only enabled the worse of two evils to win (again, assuming Hillary was “evil” – but I’m not arguing that today).
If this is indeed Scott softening up Republicans to go with Joe, then I will just have to sit back and see where this is going.

Its ok to wish for a dream, but not if making that wish keeps you from taking actions that will prevent a nightmare.

That’s the important thing here: A third-party vote is a vote for the INCUMBENT, meaning DONNY! It’s America or trump.
