Minshew came to Washington State U as a grad transfer in 2018 after a couple of fair to middling seasons at East Carolina. Expectations weren’t high but he won the starting job before the opener against Wyoming and (as all QBs do) thrived in Mike Leach’s Air Raid offense and became a cult hero in the process. He’s been an overachiever and cult hero in Jacksonville, too. Good for him.
