Growing up one of our elderly neighbor’s dog was like Fred – always playing with the kids. The neighbor was real good about it as it got him more exercise than she could provide. On several occasions when the ice cream truck came around, she bought and would sit and talk with us. I sure miss the old days when neighbor’s knew and took care of each other.
