    “Lesson learned, Coach.”

“Hope so. That was as hard on me as it was on you, but you should be walking normally in a day or so.”

“Give away any more of my patented coaching plays and you’ll be benched until you turn thirty. It would be a shame to wait until you’re in Grade 11 to be able to play again.”

Actually, Gil still hasn’t figured out just what the Delaware Wing T actually is, but he likes it because it maybe sounds like Long Island Iced Tea.

The Delaware Wing-T is a running back formation. Gil needs to consider a passing game in addition to the running game. He was saving one play for a conference game. Not sure what he’s saving this one for. He should use plays instead of saving them so the other teams won’t know what to expect from Milford.

    P1, Loofah earned, Coach!

P2, That’s a play you can and should keep to yourself.

P3, He’s still got on the same sweaty, nasty t-shirt? I thought he was hitting the showers before first hour. Oh well, looks like Mopman put in some overtime. Nice shine on that floor!

Something tells me Rapp won’t be wearing a visor and carrying a clipboard for long. Before Brett Farve, there was George Blanda drawing plays in the dirt. The kid responds in an ‘emergency’ situation and GilPa gets credit for molding this young talent. Everyone is onboard except for Marty, who interviews Rapp and asks Terry if Thorp is holding him back.

Is Kaz out scouting Central City and their complicated offense, and the rest of the Valley triple-reverses? Gil will soon be showing off to us with plays from Amos Alonzo Stagg and Pop Warner. Milford is now challenging Miami, Ohio as the cradle of coaches.

Gilpa hums to himself while he struts. “Well, you can tell by the way I walk I’m a ladies man, no time to talk…”

So, no lesson learned after all. He’ll pull this stunt again and lose a game. Can’t wait.

But what’s with Gil ADMITTING he’s planning to cheat in about 13 years when he’ll start a 30-year-old quarterback?

And speaking of cheating, don’t cheat yourself out of today’s Mopped Up Thorp: https://moppedupthorp.wordpress.com/

Gil gets an impish grin and says, “And don’t EVER them them about the Henway play.” “What’s a henway?” Gil: “Oh, about 4 or 5 pounds. Har har har!” 10 seconds later: “What’s the matter, don’t you get it? There were some kids around years ago that loved that one.” - scene -
