@Number Three Today’s strip-Andy IS funny but it’s been done our HERO Mr Andrew Capp has good reason to be upset, if most pubs in Hartlepool shut down he will have to buy his own beer or buy a beer making kit :o) when I used to drink beer I used to brew my own , my avatar is a picture that explains the first law of physics , gravity does not work unless you look down :o) I used to like watching the Roadrunner and Wileye E. Coyote show so I’m not buying anything from the ACME Company: how was your day? ours is chaotic , before going to bed yesterday I did not close the refrigerator door properly, so this morning our kitchen /dining room had 5mm of water all over, so we had to empty the fridge it and remove loads of ice and throw it in the drain, Connie is in a very bad mood so at 9am I came up here and get on my desktop to get out of her way , stay safe and we started commenting on . com nearly at the same time and thanks for caring Starlet.

Only so many places will stake Andy for credit. Many of them were probably mentioned in the book.

It seems that Afficionado’s comments are the only element of this comic strip that isn’t fiction.

Only a pub lover can relate to lost pubs

Sound like a new series for Britbox.

While walking in London, I passed a couple of closed, abandoned pubs. Truly sad sights. Apparently, on average, 18 pubs a week close in Britain.

Didn’t know he could read anything beyond sports’ scores and the race sheet…..

Yes, that’s something that would get Andy upset.

The common theme through all the closures is someone didn’t his tab.

There’s a statue of Andy in Hartlepool. Google it.

Wow! What a nightmare. How is everything with the fridge now?

Yes, I have been on GoComics for a decade now. I first discovered this site when I was looking at some Andy Capp strips at school, one of them directed me to GoComics. But I didn’t start actually “talking” until mid 2011 at least. That’s when I first met Number Six.

I’ve been out today and I will only start  climbing the walls if I stay indoors all the time. Will probably go out Friday too. Weather permitting.

I’m sure for many U.K. readers today’s strip is sadly ironic. With Round #2 of the Covid-19 starting up for real in Great Britain, and Boris’ plan to return to curfews and lockdowns, many, many more great pubs will be closing their doors forever.

I can see why that would upset Andy. I wonder if he’s been thrown out of any of those pubs.

Reading expands the mind, and for Andy, that’s a stretch.

In the same vein in the summer 1975 I came back to Canada via San Diego. The kind folks in the US Army gave me a right from Clarke to SD via Hickam. Took me 3 months to travel home stopping at every VFW hall I could find on the way home. Better than any shrinktime ever.
