I have to tell you about my miracle. My tire practically exploded while I was traveling, driving hundreds of miles. I was able to pull over to the side of the road, middle of nowhere, miles from the nearest exit and in the days before cell phones and me, a young female alone, with no clue how to fix a tire and terrified to trust a stranger and it starting to get dark out, not many cars going by, plus I had luggage and gifts in the car, so afraid to start walking and leave it, and no idea which direction to go.
Incredibly, a tow truck immediately pulled up right behind me. It was part of a local government’s new experimental program where they rode around the highways looking for cars in trouble in order to get them off the road and prevent further issues. They were very polite and helpful and fixed my flat for me in no time, free, and refused a tip. All they asked was I contact the office and say how useful it was in the hopes it would become a permanent job for them. To me, they were guardian angels.

That tire won’t last long before it shreds, and then its just the bare wheel grinding on the pavement
That will be a lovely sound

Luckily, I’ve never hade a tire blow on me while I’ve been moving. The few times they’ve gone flat have been sitting in the driveway.
