Is it just me, or does the release point in P1 make it look like the pass will go, oh, 15 yards and then hit the ground? And in P2 it’s about 15 feet high and still rising. Did Air Jimmy’s equipment manager take a page from the Patriots’ book and sneak in helium-filled footballs?
Who was the emergency QB? Is GilPa saving the vaunted Delaware Wing T for the season finale vs. Valley Tech? Help is needed on the defensive side. Use Rapp’s type A personality at Rover.
I thought the world of Dean when he was at Carolina but he would do this same kind of stubborn stuff sometimes. Pulled out a player who was ‘lighting it up’ (episode I have in mind was a role player named Ranzino Smith) because he was ‘getting out of the offense’.
Well, at that time everyone else was stone cold and Ranzino was the offense! He came back in later but was not as hot as he’d been and nobody else had gotten any hotter. Carolina wound up losing that game and the worst party was it was an NCAA playoff game and that was the end of the season.
P1 – Terry throws a nice, tight, line drive spiral…
P2 – …that somehow floats 8’ over the receiver’s head! What kind of weird physics is going on in Madison?
P3 – So he should have been out there, exactly because…what? He’s the backup. What has he done? He has been in for something like two plays, one of which he threw a pass that was a high, wounded duck that was caught for a touchdown when the defender fell over his own two feet.
And speaking of wounded, you’d leave me somewhat wounded if you refused to read today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Star-reaching attempt by Moench. Ball’s headed for another galaxy.

P1, Will Thayer fires a bullet. . .
P2, That somehow sails high out of the reach of Tom (Butt) Muench. Despite R&W’s description, it must have gotten batted up in the air at the line.
P3, Oh, you’re out there alright.

Rap will still be saying that 20 years from now while sitting on a Milford gin mill bar stool.

If Muench was really open wouldn’t he be the only player in the panel?

Why would anyone believe if Rapp had been the QB he would have called the play that got Muench open?

Based on yesterday’s P3, and today’s P2, Munch was hardly “wide open”. He was freaking double-teamed! Terry had to try and squeeze that pass in!
