Way to coach defense, GilPa. Oh, wait, that would mean “coaching” …

P3: Number 42 is momentary frozen in his tracks admiring Number 56’s tight end.

P3 Yeah, and great job on the art work, 56 must be 7’ tall or 42 is 3’8" !!

Three things can happen when you pass the ball, and 2 of them are bad. Did Gilpa abandon his game plan and go for that forward pass? Did Will Thayer ignore the running play sent in?

Looks as if the “Air Jimmy” offense befuddled Milford.

Let me pass on some strategy Gil… There I was playing Sega’s NFL ’95 and trailing to my opponent in the fourth quarter using the Rams against the 49ers. he mockingly asked “Are you going to use the Battering Ram?” Considering time was running out and passes would normally be the play calls. Indeed I call run plays for Jerome Bettis and ran that Bus all the way to victory.

P1- I can hear Marty now. Touchdown Sweet Cheeks! Hic, hic.

P2- Do we have a Joe Bolek sighting? The kid who used to punt in the 8th grade and filmed the New Thayer bullies about to cream Tiki Jansen 2 years ago?

P3- Check #56 for bolts sticking out of his neck. That’s Herman Munster.

Sounds more like Gil has a defense problem…as in none. When you put up 37, it’s usually enough to win. Quit worrying about a 2nd string QB who wants to win and find some defenders who can play pass defense.

    P-1: “I scored a Field Goal!”

P-2: Gil calls for the “Rocket” offense and Milford stalls when they misunderstand and use the “Rockette”.

P-3: A young Bubba Smith plays LB for Madison.

OK, last score check was 14-0 Milford. Now they’re losing 42-37. The Madison Butt Cheeks score 6 TDs (way to go Air Jimmy!) and the Larks score what, 2 TDs and 3 FGs? All so T Rapp can get the winning TD on an improvised bootleg as time runs out. Or, get knocked out of bounds at the 1 yard line cementing Gilpa’s chance for 2nd in the Valley?

    P1, Hands up! Don’t shoot!

P2, Number 4 looks like he’s booted a Joe Theisman style punt.

P3, And since Rap isn’t dressing for this game as part of Gil’s punishment, the grizzled old coach can’t call on The Mad Bomber to try to pull out the win.

Second-guessing Marty will soon be wondering out loud why Air (Ball) Rapp didn’t play!

After they get the ball back Gil will opt for the chastised ©Rapp and run some trickeration play, cover the spread, and we all go to the Bucket.

I think Gil waited too long to pull out his amazing end around trick play that could have won this game. And speaking of amazing, it’s amazing that people are still reading Mopped Up Thorp. Willingly.
