They grow up so fast from kittenhood, don’t they?

Awwww. I’d love it if they could stay kittens and puppies, too. The cat I have now was adopted as an adult, though. With our dog I didn’t think a kitten was a good idea. My guy really is a BIG boy, too.

The ultimate goal of genetic engineering is to create something that stays the size and appearance of a four month old kitten.

That the hitch with getting a kitten or puppy because you think they’re so cute. In no time they grow out of that stage and begin the adolescent age. Yup, right from baby to teenager…oh but don’t worry, it only last about 2-3 years before they’re fully grown and brains are still entrenched with their younger behavior. Sound like any adult PEOPLE you know???

My cats are playful and curious well into old age. I provide a stimulating environment and treat them as personalities. Once in a while I open all the cabinets in the house, so they can explore. On rainy days, there are wire-tie balls to chase and cardboard boxes with mysterious holes. Kittens are really little testing-machines. They have to try everything personally, which can be cute but nerve-wracking, especially when one is calibrating jaw-pressure required to make a bite hurt.

It’s sad when their ears get smaller and their tails get bigger.

You were either gone a lot longer than you thought you were or Ric ate something that made him grow faster.
