A bride’s-maid talked my wife into wearing some makeup on our wedding day…..freaked me out as she had never worn any before, or since. No need to hide behind a fake face!
I was putting on makeup one day years ago when I suddenly realized I had no idea why. I did continue wearing mascara because I was so very conceited about my eyelashes, which are super long and thick (upper and lower). Then I had a serious eye injury and couldn’t wear mascara for months and then just forgot all about it.
Unless you’re trying to cover up a skin defect (ala Trump) there is never any reason to don “war paint”, that I can see – (actually, I stand corrected – there is one reason – clowns really DO need make-up to complete their characters!)

Trout, I wondered the same thing when I was a little boy. Even now it still doesn’t make since.

You have been told by your Overlords to wear your “fake crud” and you shall comply or you will be ostracized from society……

I LOVE wearing war paint! I just really like color, I guess. Lipstick, mostly. Which no one can see under these friggin’ masks! Sigh.
Please pass the spackle. . . . :)

I’ve found makeup on women takes way from their beauty.
