Don’t need or want to know enough people to make FB worthy for me. The global Equine community is far quicker in communication anyway (and equally true/false) ; )
Back when where I worked was first getting networked and otherwise “connected”, our Internet was things like Telnet, FTP, Gopher, etc. Our Telnet set-up defaulted to the Chat function being turned on. One day I got someone I didn’t know wanting to chat. I turned the Chat function off and never looked back… Except once, when one of those bosses who breezes in with all sorts of “great ideas” mandated we all use an Instant Messaging system. I would respond if contacted, but never initiated anything. After a few months, it was dropped. Apparently, no-one else was using it either…

If you use FB for anything other than necessity, you haven’t learned a thing.

A bit of time browsing Facebook is enough to make you despair of the Human Race.
Twitter is even more depressing.
