    “if it’s got be walked, watered, fed, or dusted, I don’t want it,” was a neighbor’s motto. OTH, think of having to “free” yourself of all that unnecessary paraphernalia as you get older. As I plow through all the stuff I had to have at forty, fifty, and sixty, it’s amazing how little I need now.

    There is a fine “tipping point” between “making it” and “going under.”

    If you are making just slightly more than you need, you can survive the occasional hit. If you are exactly at break even, hitting even the smallest iceberg can sink you.

    Unfortunately, money management is not taught in our schools.
