Pumpkin Jed, please send me a gallon of your balm. The squirrels have taken over. The pecan mast is the largest I remember and the mostly eaten nuts have stained my concrete porch and brick steps. The paint store manager said that only chlorine can remove the stain or some of it. Tried a small area and it helped but it is going to take leaving the chlorine on more than a couple of minutes.
Make that a 25 gallons of Pumpkin Jed’s Garlic Balm. No pumpkins, just the balm on everything within 20 feet of the porch and the flat room. The nuts hitting the roof sound like large branches falling.
I spay garlic oil to keep the mosquitoes away (3oz/gal water) – works great… For squirrels, I use an equal mix of Paprika, Cayenne pepper and Crushed red pepper flakes sprinkled on the bird seed… Sprinkling spices over the bird food does not harm the birds in any way; in fact, birds do not have taste buds that transmit heat. The powder-like repellent will only add flavor to their sunflower seeds, safflower seeds, or other sources of food to help them taste better.

Also works to repel vampires, it will, however, attract the Gumbo’s.
