I’ve gone to the trouble to make a pie out of real pumpkin. It wasn’t that much better than using Libby’s canned pumpkin and a heck of a lot more work. I just buy LIbby’s now and make the pie with it. I’m old and don’t need the aggravation of a real pumpkin. I will toast pumpkin seeds, though. Mighty tasty.

I’ve never made pie from a real pumpkin, but isn’t the part you make into pie also the part you carve into a jack-o-lantern? I don’t think you can do both.

How do you cut the eyes for panels 1 and 2? And for lauradolan, if the pumpkin is big enough, use the cut-outs.

Pumpkins for Jack-or-lanterns are decorative gourds. Edible pumpkins are a different thing.

Very sweet! Thank you, Chip. I always feel bad for all the pumpkins that get thrown out. It’s good to remember that they can be eaten—and hopefully some critters get to feast on the discards. Hope all the crew had a great Halloween!

A pumpkin that gives and gives is a happy pumpkin.

Sounds like a good way for a pumpkin to go, if you ask me.

And I guess the smile on its face works now, since Halloween has passed …

    ’Evening, Crew.
