That would be a fly-by-night situation!

It was a blue moon on Halloween and the waning moon and stars have been so bright. I am up ridiculously early and sometimes just stand in the dark and look at the stars. These past few nights have been quite clear and the moon has been lighting the sky so brightly that we can see for miles.

Living on a farm in a rural area is so lovely at night as we have no light pollution from the city – yet.

I hope hen we go back to the moon or even Mars, that one vehicle will be named Red and the other one Rover.

Another display of Rover’s common sense and Red’s lack of it.

Ah! Never thought of that. I wanted to be an astronaut, but couldn’t sit still for a long car ride either!

Good plan. Might eliminate a few million of the: “Are we there yet?”

Driving along a mountain road on a starry night must be a lot like space travel. When I was a boy in the 1970s I was also looking forward to space travel and believed that there would be hotels on the moon by AD 2000.

Warp speed doesn’t take that long.

I think any mission to Mars or beyond should use crews that have been aboard a submarine instead of air force or space force pilots. They have far more experience living in tiny spaces with others for long periods of time. I’d assume the Navy would do psych testing on them before they even send them to sea.

The launch will be the hard part. Fill up on supplies on Luna then off you go.
