Lio, you stole Charlie Brown’s line.

Christmas won’t be the same without Charlie Brown on TV. It’s really a shame.

LIO SPOKE?!

This line and slight variations of it were spoken by Charlie Brown many, many times over the years. If you look up Peanuts for February 12, 1966 (right here on GoComics) you’ll see an example.

Apple wouldn’t have gotten away with that if Mr. Schulz was still around & functioning!

Mine too, Lio. Its another 2020 sucker punch.

The Peanuts specials used to be on CBS, then they moved to ABC. Then Apple was able to buy the rights. As much as some people still love the shows, that trajectory almost certainly indicates that ratings have dropped over the years. Maybe ABC wasn’t planning to run them this year at all. This is mere speculation, but it fits the facts. In which case, Apple stepped in to save your childhood memories.
