Jazz, Swing, Blues Pop. and Country/Western was far superior in the 30s, 40s, 50, and 60s to anything being performed today and rap is crap. (pardon my French).
There is plenty of good music still here. Try this one…Jessie Buckley singing “Boulder to Birmingham” with her guitarist. Just two people. It’s not modern music, but it’s definitely different from Neil Diamond or the Beatles.
I grew up on Jazz – and only as I got older started to really appreciate its influence on more modern music. So, my tastes in music advances with time, just shifted about 30 years!
