There are several companies that make “waterproof” cases to put your phone in. There are several other companies that make phones that are themselves “waterproof.” Go on Amazon and search for " rugged phones. " Some of them are pretty good phones.
For all the time Andy spends in the canal, he should take Flo and go on a canal-boat vacation. England, and I believe Scotland also, has a lot of canals to travel on. They can be very scenic.
Flo waiting for Andy reminded me of a single panel cartoon by Reg Smythe. Flo was waiting for Andy with her rolling pin in her hand to bash him with when he came home but she was thinking “He’s never been this late. I hope nothing’s happened to him.” This summed up her mixed feelings for Andy very well.
