This looks like the beginning of the story. Now Olwen and family spent five years but was the Otherworld they were in the same Otherworld as Vesper and Wigglesworth? If not, maybe Olwen never found them.
Have they been in that cave a few hours or have they been in the Ice and Fire realm for a few hours? Or is the Ice Realm completely seperate from the Fire Realm and time passes even faster in the Ice Realm than the Fire Realm. Would be interesting to find out what the time differences are. Ten to twenty minutes in the Earth Realm equal five years in the Ice Realm and a few hours in the Fire Realm?
