When I worked in motorcycle sales, the boss pushed extended warranty packages – biggest money maker for the shop behind accessories and riding equipment…
I am still getting calls from Ford for a car I bought 8 years ago and sold two years ago. I crossed Ford off my list of possibles when I chose a new car for that reason. Is it just Ford that is the problem, or are there other companies to avoid?
Why aren’t the feds setting honey pots to get these guys? It’s a tremendous waste of people’s time and telecommunication resources. Some days I get three calls!
I actually pushed the “I want to talk with someone” button the other day and asked to please be taken off the list. I know it won’t do any good, but at least I put it out there. And I know there is a live human being at the other end. The startled response I got, was almost funny.

And, unlike people who like Lucky Charms, they offer “unbeatable deals.”

I string them along, then tell them my car is a 1969 model!

It’s a great business model. All you need is a sales staff. No repair shops are necessary.

Not my lucky charms, but someone is always after my money

Anything that they have to badger you relentlessly in order to sell it, isn’t worth buying.

I wish somebody was after my Lucky Charms.

Speaking of cars, it was worse than warranties when the dealer sold my contact information to Sirius.

I no longer get phone calls from them, but email and snail mail keep flowing in.

I have reported them to FTC at least 20 times for do not call violations
