I think being caretaker to so many children has taken a toll on Honey (rather quickly, I might add, but who am I to judge?). Or maybe Earl being Duke’s new sidekick — one who WON’T play the role of Duke’s conscience as she has for so long — has her questioning her place in the world.
Honey and Zeke both have work experience with Duke so they’ve got that much in common, anyway.
I think J.J. dated Zeke right before Joan set her up with Mike, but I don’t know if Zeke — or, for that matter, Honey — was working for Duke at that point.

I don’t know if Honey actually believes Zeke is coming on to her, or if she’s throwing herself on the grenade to keep JJ from making a mistake.

Honey, you could do better, but Zeke is still a step up from Duke.

Good Lord, Honey. You could have snagged the tall, young delivery boy, but you settled for Zeke?

Go for it Honey. I know it isn’t going to work, but it’s worth a try.

Honey has always seemed ill-cued in social situations. She even thinks Duke likes her.

For those who want to get ahead of this touching reunion, you can set the comic back to mid June 1995 and see whats coming ! lol

Honey is quick on the uptake. After Duke and his ‘orphans,’ anyone will do. Zeke’s not a bad choice.
