I hope they stick with someone who has some class. Grinning like an idiot, wisecracking that isn’t funny, and insulting contestants- who are required to find the insult hilarious, is the usual run of trivia show MCs now. I’d have to give up on the trivia I love entirely if it wasn’t for the fast forward button.

I am very heartbroken that he has passed. My love of trivia came from watching that program for many years.

I’m sorry Alex Trebek is dead. I really am. No one should have pancreatic cancer and I hope he didn’t suffer. But I didn’t like him. I thought he was a patronizing snob, always correcting people’s French accents and translating French phrases like nobody ever took French in school. And he wasn’t always kind to contestants. There, I said it. Godspeed, Alex. Try not to correct God.
