The signature 3D speech balloon “tails” in panel 1 are particularly graceful and charming today.
In panel 2, the use of color to emphasize alarm in Spud’s screech balloon ( or explosion?)… and the colored and shaded lettering classing up Wallace’s exclamation… are little free bonuses.
I love the sprouted signature in the third panel.
Oh, and (not) an afterthought, the overall art is its customary beauteous self.
In olden times when I was young and we did not have cameras with us everywhere we went, I used to fly RC airplanes. A favorite activity was to go out with my friend Marlin looking for interesting places to fly our sail planes. US 20 followed along the top of a high ridge, and near the highest point in Illinois, the ridge and highway made a broad right turn making a place that channeled the breeze and created an updraft. At the bottom was a spring with nice tasting water and THE GREAT OAK. What a tree! One day, the wind dropped, and I was too low to make it back to the top where I was standing. Instead, my red sailplane made it back to the very top of THE GREAT OAK. I left the remote with Marlin and began to climb. 40 ft up in that tree, the limbs were still so thick it was more like walking on a floor! I got to where I could touch it with my fingertips and managed to nudge it just far enough to fall. Marlin flew it to the ground and landed just on the other side of the fence. I did a lot of climbing that day. I saw a photo about a 300-year-old oak, and it was dwarfed by THE GREAT OAK. So I climbed the ridge, the tree and a fence that afternoon after work.

These Wallace cartoons could be so improved by … by … um, er, OK, no. They cannot be improved. They are utterly, completely perfect.
