Knowing how all the parts of a language fit together is especially useful!

I was OK learning other languages, but this is how I felt on first taking up algebra. I always suspected my 9th grade math teacher was Coleoptera.

They say there is a freedom to be found through restrictions and boundaries, and even though language often falls woefully short of expressing an idea, it’s best not to lose your head over it. This chap, I suspect, is just now realizing that his communication skills have received a failing grade and that it’s best not to rely solely on the cliff notes to get by. The universal language, and everyones first language, is body language. Ignore it at your own risk, as illustrated here, and you may have less body to worry about.

…ok, praying mantis erotica, perhaps, was not the best way to start out…

…going to the head did not translate well in pincher …

…always watch Froglandia programs with closed captioning…

…‘How To Serve Humans’ was a big seller on Klendathu Prime…

…how Edgar Allan Poe really died…

    …some assembly required…

…Zork getting back at Ralph for all those magnifying glass days…

Mere language skill is nothing to lose your head over.

But for this poor schmuck, it’s too late. Who could have taught him the click-rich flavored tongue of the deadly Giant Stag Beetle?

    Not I, I said….

Wow, the googly eye installations on the Blog range from avant garde artsy to cringeworthy and creepy. I like them a lot.

…‘cuz all that speaking in tongue never is in any real language…

    …like someone shouts…

    …hey, that’s Latin!…

    …does Klingon count?…

    … nanu nanu…

    …there, I said it…

…I was lucky enough to see Robin Williams live in concert…

    ..Steve Martin, too…

..and just as unlucky to see Chevy Chase…

    …don’t go to concerts anymore…

…not just because of the virus…

…but these new fandangled comedians just ain’t my cup of tea…

…I mean, Donald Trump does get off a few good zingers, but he’s no Phyllis Diller…
