According to this site Charles Thompson also signed on July 4th. He was not a delegate but Hancocks’ Secretary.

He wanted to wait till everyone else had finished so he’d have room for his famous huge signature, I suppose.

How do they know that baby whales can gain 10 lbs/hr? Do they catch one , weigh it, and have it come back for a weigh in? Inquiring minds want to know.

Sometimes, like today, I’m going to feel like a baby blue whale. Loving the sweatpants.

You’ve solved a mystery for me, Mr. Graziano. So, as it turns out, my ex was after all, in spite of her human disguise, a blue whale. Thank you!

Take care, may the floored be with you, and gesundheit.

The famous parchment displayed in the National Archives was not signed by John Hancock, or anyone else, on July 4 1776 because it wasn’t even commissioned until later that month.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_history_of_the_United_States_Declaration_of_Independence

After some rough drafts, Thomas Jefferson wrote a “Fair Copy” of the Declaration, and his committee presented it to the Continental Congress on June 28. Congress made amendments, with secretary Charles Thomson marking up the Fair Copy. This is what was physically in the chamber on July 4. If Hancock signed anything that day, that would have been it.

Congress sent the Fair Copy to printer John Dunlap, to print around 200 broadside copies (26 are known to exist today). In the process, the Fair Copy was lost, perhaps destroyed — it is today considered a holy grail. One of the “Dunlap Broadsides” was inserted into Congress’s journal, and that became the official copy.

On July 19, Congress commissioned an engrossed (very neatly written) copy, on parchment, from Timothy Matlack. He delivered it some days later, with Hancock and most of the others signing that copy on August 2. The “Matlack” Declaration is on display in the National Archives,

Baby Blue Whales can gain weight at the rate of up to 10 pounds per hour on Thanksgiving Day.

The rest of the signers were at Ben Franklin’s 4th of July party.

Kalalea Mountain in Kauai, Hawaii has a peak that looks like a gorilla.
