Gee, what’s a #1 80’s Dad to do?

I was in 7th or 8th grade and had left an important paper at home. School wasn’t tooo far, though it seemed lime miles & miles & miles and miles. I ran home during lunch break, grabbed the papers and my bicycle and peddled like mad along BOCA CHICA BLVD!!! (a 6-lane divided roadway, right before ‘freeway’) to school and made it to the after lunch class on time. Red-faced, panting hard and sweaty as all get out, but butt in seat by second bell. By the time the paper class came along I was pretty much normal. Better yet, my brother covered for me when my best friend’s mom picked him up (doctor appointment, I think) and I biked home along a saner neighborhood street system and was innocently doing homework when Mom came home.

To do that, Miles, you have to actually put the presentation in your bag!

Let’s see what happens when Carla goes all Susie Derkins (Calvin & Hobbes) on him…
