Our cats actually usually listen when we scold them, but there are times they just get a case of stubborn and keep being naughty until we get up and go after them
I avoid squeaky toys for my dogs. If I hear them gnawing on something that squeaks I am inclined to rescue it and get it out over the fence where it belongs.
Honestly, I don’t see how any dog could possibly gnaw on one of those and NOT make a lot of noise. That’s like asking somebody to drive over some bubble wrap and NOT make any popping noises.
