My late mother used to own plenty of butter tubs and other plastic food containers. I think it was some time in the mid-1990s we got rid of them all and finally went with some real food containers similar to Tupperware.
From the sixties is a stretch. Most of that started getting ‘sticky’ a few years ago. But I do still have my ‘gravy’ shaker from 1971 (wedding shower gift). And my angel food cake carrier top works well on the pantry shelf holding my rice and pasta. The bottom is there as well, they just don’t seal anymore.
One of the more “disgusting” for me was the Melamine(sp.?)-brand of reddish-brown coffee-cups and/or eating utensils & plates. But then again, they WERE-quite resistant to breaking—-as well as resistant to being-cleansed…! ☺

The most diabolical idea to come about for “kitchen storage” now is the nesting scheme.

I still have my hamburger patty press and about a dozen of the individual patty containers. Oh and also the burp-able lettuce head container.

On most of my Tupperware the seals broke, so it’s Rubbermaid now.

She was a real sucker at those Tupperware parties.. All her friends were ever so glad when she accepted an invitation.

Strangest Tupperware party I ever attended had beer and weed. She did sell a lot, though. :)

Hmmm, looks like a point in favor of Tupperwear coffins…

Tupperware made ice cube trays that we still use; because Lock & Lock does not make them. All else has been replaced by L&L .

They also have that set of mixing bowls they have been using since they got it as a wedding gift.
