I’m sure Dill will be qualified to work as Santa’s little helper eye, with his experience doing the neighborhood watch. He’s certainly doing it right now, with Alice. Maybe he’ll report to Madeleine later!

And again, as soon as Mom’s outa the picture, it’s Alice, capo di tutti capi!

Also, Kevin could really use a portable blood pressure monitor.

Kevin is exactly right. He has pointed out the cultural problem that afflicts the world today. If we see it on a screen, we are willing to believe it. If we don’t see it, we don’t believe it. Mind you, we don’t need to see the exact event being described or talked about, we merely need to see it being talked about on a screen to be willing to accept an assertion as fact. And the WWW has given the entire global population the ability to post anything. So we have people who will believe literally anything.

Panel 2 – the hug speaks volumes. Wish I could do that again.

This time, a little over 10 years ago, Richard posted a blog entry regarding the last 9 strips:

Petey should make a diorama of Santa’s eye for Alice to bring to school.

Love the wide-eyed look on all the kids! Unfortunately, I was “that child” who told the other kids the reality of Santa Claus – it’s your parents!

Santa’s orc armies stand ever vigilant to cleanse the Earth of all that is wicked.

I really don’t see the problem here. Everyone is fully engaged and entertained. Any barely sane teacher of young children knows not to spoil a good thing.

I think she is getting the Eye of Santa mixed up with the Eye of Sauron!

Relax, Kevin, and stop relying on TV. It never tells you the really important stuff!

As Alice expounds, Nara and Marcus look on in awed silence, Kevin panics, and Dill [whom I assume to be the youngest among these four-year-olds] barely peeps over the table.

    Santa is so vigilant!
