How about an actual compromise? There are infinite universes, realizing every possible group of occurrences. But there is a probability field whose collapse simply tells us which subset of those universes we’re in. That subset is constantly shrinking, but since it’s infinite, we never run out of further choices and subsets. But branching as such doesn’t happen.
That should annoy everyone.

As Patsy said in “Monty Python ant the Holy Grail”, It’s just a model. So don’t read too much into what it proves.

I’m more of the “couple of rooms” follower, myself. Nothing exists outside of whatever room I’m confined in.

Sub atomic particles have fractional charge and spin. Riiiiight! Don’t worry.
Couple decades and it will sort itself out.

In Copenhagen the cat is alive or dead. In Many Worlds there exists a universe where the cat is alive, thus, the cat can never die.

I wonder how many biographies on Everett have been sold thanks to this. Eight copies left at $26. You’re welcome Amazon.
