It’s not the wrapping, it’s the giver.

Some people can’t wrap a present neatly to save their lives, but it’s always the thought that counts.

I am known in the family as an inventive wrapper. I couldn’t make a square neat wrapping if my life depended on it. I am certain that if I started making perfect wrapping I would disappoint everyone so I decided not even to try, I’m too old to acquire that kind of thing anyway.

Talk about different standards. But then my response to Ben would be “I can tell”.

In the 1960’s over Christmas season Mom would work for a local department store with their wrapping department. She made sure I knew how to wrap a present!

I am completely inept at wrapping presents. It usually takes me about three rolls of paper per gift. I use the entire 3 rolls trying to get around the gift once, whether it be a book or a brand new tv., and it looks like a toddler who hasn’t learned to cut and paste is the one who did it. Of course i’m the type of person who can’t draw a straight line with a ruler.

My ex-husband and I used to label our worst wrapping job “From Crappy Wrappy the Elf.”
