Having followed the new Nancy for a while now, I have noticed that most of Jaimes’ misses, at least in my opinion, have a tendency to follow a specific formula: character(s) commenting on an observation/moral, with the final panel either subverting the message or misconstruing the point for comedic effect.
While they have the potential to be good, the punchline almost becomes predictable. Some have a decent flow and work out (like the one on December 2nd, for example), but this one just seems to fall flat for me. Not gonna complain constantly or threaten to drop the comic or anything, but it’s just a stray observation I wanted to get off my chest.
That being said, after reading through chunks of the “big three” eras, Jaimes’s worst Nancys are still better than Gilchrist’s best ones.
Funny how Nancy, acting so childish, sitting in her orange chair blaming others, reminds me of someone. If only I could put my finger on who it is . . .

Be careful, Nancy. That’s a slippery slope. Start down it and you can end up with orange skin and some kind of hair monster living on your head.
