@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny but it’s a repeat our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s caterwauling is unique for the policemen recognize him sight unseen :o) my avatar is of picture of a guy taking the drag and drop function literally , like I feel like doing with my desktop throw it down a cliff because it is giving me grief , somebody has hacked into the system again and has my password :o{ how was your day and please comment if you see my posting , our Finally Friday should be busy but calm I hope , keep safe young Lady
Andy and Alan seem to know each other very well as Alan is the only copper Andy addresses by name. As I’ve said before, they may have known each other before Alan became a copper.
We have our own neighborhood serenader. He’s not an Andy Capp wandering drunk but he does persist in singing at top volume to the barrio.
It might not be as bad if we knew what he was singing but alas, we don’t. He wears his earphones when performing , so we never hear the music to the songs … and he’s tone deaf! The closest that you can come to imagining what he does. is if to think of a Muslim Muezzin calling the faithful to prayer at the mosque. Only the muezzin can carry a tune!
We are a very tolerant neighborhood. We realize that this man has intellectual disabilities and therefore doesn’t realize how annoying it is to hear him standing on his balcony at all hours of the day and night singing to the world. He isn’t hurting anyone and he is actually, a very nice person. It’s just that sometimes you just want to shout at him to “¡Put a sock in it!”
Ironically, during the lockdown, when everyone was confined to their homes for several months and he had a totally captive audience, he was quiet … go figure!

I prefer the Bobby Fuller version rather than the Crash (or even Andy Capp) version.

How about “I shot the sheriff”, Andy? That would be a good fit too!

Like Buddy Holly, Bobby Fuller died way to young.

I’ll take the Clash version. They really did fight the law and spend time in jail.
