Maybe she’s just trying to tell herself not to say something stupid, for a change.
Living with someone who has dementia and asks the same question over and over, I really wish I could say shut the hell up. But I don’t.
I often say “Will you shut up and talk”. OR get to the point.
Occasionally having ADD has its advantages—I have a LOT of practice at pretending to pay attention.
That reminds me. Time to renew my membership in Misanthropes R Us.
Just act the fool – people will leave you the hell-o alone except your friends.
