That’s more realistic than the silly word makes it seem. We do need to understand people who aren’t in 100% agreement with our politics, if only to “know the enemy” but much better if we can find real common ground.
I have friends that are still friends that voted for him. One is in HR and was sick having to lay off an entire company over COVID – their people would call asking begging to come back to work cause no money for bills food medicine – concerned Biden will shut down economy again and put their people in crisis – they supported Trump. Another friend works in space industry – Trump created a new branch of military – US Space Force. They thinks it is long overdue and needs funding. So they supported Trump.
Nope. I had a friend with whom I did not discuss politics and then one day late in 2007 he said some things about and against then Senator Obama that I will not repeat here. Dropped him like a radioactive balloon.
