Apparently grandma needs her jelly with a little more mastication. Personally I would have stopped after the first crown. It reminds me of the saying about doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.
A couple of days ago it appeared that Agnes had made enough “jelly” for several gift baskets. Not sure who she was planning to give the others to, but I’m hoping that Grandma’s was in fact the only one that made it off the production line.
She will become the Patron Saint of Grandmas immediately after she dies. The reason is, that not only was she a good person and an example for Grandmothers everywhere, but because she has already performed many more than the two required miracles during the raising of Agnes. Merry Christmas…..

I’m surprised that Grandma would actually try to eat something Agnes concocted…
I thought she had already experienced the effects of zero sanitation and knew too much about the probability of inedible ingredients.
I can tell you that I wouldn’t venture a second attempt.
That’s either real love or total absence of sensible caution…
and Grandma has always seemed pretty sensible, to me.

I love the beautiful scene of Agnes sitting on Grandma’s lap, with the pretty little tree. So sweet and heartwarming.
